Motivational therapy is a form of therapy designed to focus on improving someone’s drive to change.
The main focus is on looking at self-destructive behaviors and why we keep engaging in them. Many times, we keep engaging in these destructive behaviors even though we know that they have a negative impact on our lives including our families, health and social interactions. Motivational therapy is designed to help us overcome that resistance to change and create internal motivation through a deeper understanding of ourselves with this knowledge we gain confidence to change and the motivation to follow through and make those changes happen.
